Power Baseball 2024 Summer Season Tryout Camp Standouts Part 2

From January 12th-14th, Power Baseball held their 2024 Summer Teams Tryout Camp which took place at the Turn2 Sports and Performance Center along with Lake Brantley HS in Orlando, FL. Over the three-day stretch players went through bullpens, a pro-style workout, and game action. With over 300 players in attendance ranging from the 2025-2027 classes, there was tons of talent all over the field. 

Below is Part 2 of the standouts highlighted from the event that made an impact on our scouting staff and will be strong follows moving forward as we head into the spring season. Part 1 can be found HERE.

2025 RHP Caden Jensen (Viera HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds with present strength throughout. Fast arm with still more in the tank. Shows great balance pre-pitch and finishes downhill firmly. Featured a fastball up to 90 mph, mostly sitting 87-89 with 2300+ RPM. Also mixed in a changeup at 78-79 mph with late fade and an above average curveball with tighter spin, depth at 72-73 mph with 2650+ RPM. Primed for a big spring, strong follow.

2025 MIF Elijah Buffaloe (Timber Creek HS, FL)

UCF commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds on a compact, athletic frame. Continued to stand out as a high level defender up the middle. Ranges freely to his left and right, fielding the ball with confidence both backhand and forehand. Takes efficient angles to the ball and can make accurate throws off-balance. Switch-hitter who displays above average bat speed from both sides of the plate. Works back up the middle from the right side while driving the ball into right, right-center field from the left side. Strong follow.

2025 IF Erick Martinez (The First Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 188 pounds and looks noticeably stronger in the lower half. Offensively he produced multiple line drives deep into left field, center field during his batting practice rounds from the right side of the plate. Still more power to unlock, especially to the pull side. Continued to show off his above average defensive tool, fielding the ball under control and with confidence. Accurate throws across the diamond. Strong follow.

2025 RHP Benjamin Filler (Oviedo HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 160 pounds on a lean frame that will continue to fill out which will result in jumps in velocity. Quick arm and shows above average presence on the mound. Featured a fastball up to 85 mph and pounds the strike zone. Mixed in a slider with depth at 73-74 mph along with a 77-78 mph changeup. Closer/relief type arm. Strong follow. 

2025 IF Jordan Marlo (Trenton HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds and looks more physical, most notably in the upper body. Easy bat speed from the left side of the plate as the hands work in rhythm through the zone. Along with multiple line drives deep into right field and center field, he sent a couple off the right field wall demonstrating present power. Makes the plays as a defender. Lefty bat suited for the top of the order that still has more power coming. Strong follow. 

2025 RHP/OF Couper Gatch (Eustis HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds on an athletic frame with room to still fill out, become more physical. Quick arm with an up-tempo windup. Noticeable jump during his bullpen. Featured a fastball with life that topped out at 91 mph, mostly sitting 87-90. Also flashed a 74-75 mph breaking ball and a 76-77 mph changeup. Strong follow this spring on the mound that has a chance for another jump this year. 

2025 OF Skyler Jersey (Winter Park HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Physical frame and it translates offensively. Stood out during batting practice with an aggressive approach, attacking the ball in front. Produced lots of hard line drives, especially into left, left-center field. The hands are steady with the barrel path being consistent. Registered a top exit velocity reading of 93 mph. Strong follow. 

2026 OF Ethan Rathmann (Olympia HS, FL)

Miami commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with above average athleticism and lean strength throughout. Clocked in at 6.54 seconds in his 60 yard dash with quick, athletic strides that show up both in the outfield and on the base paths. Offensively from the right side of the plate he stays very balanced throughout with an above average approach, spraying the ball over the field. Extra base hitter and registered a top exit velocity of 94 mph. Runs the ball down in the gaps in the outfield with accurate throws to the bag. Very strong follow. 

2026 OF Colson May (Lake Minneola HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds on an athletic frame that projects. Offensively from the right side he displayed a simple approach with plenty of hard line drives into the gaps during batting practice. Stays quick and direct to the ball. Still more power to come. Above average arm from the outfield as well, topping out at 88 mph. Strong follow.

2026 RHP/OF Ethan Pate (Foundation Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds on a projectable frame. Another arm that looks primed for a big spring as he consistently sat 84-85 mph with his fastball during his bullpen. A jump in velocity looks to be on the way soon. Mixed in a 76-77 mph changeup and a 70-72 mph curveball that he threw for strikes. Also topped out at 87 mph from the outfield. Strong follow.

2026 RHP/OF Brian Rudman (Trinity Catholic, FL) 

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 177 pounds and looks noticeably more physical, especially in the upper half. During game action on the mound he worked a clean inning, notably throwing the curveball for strikes and getting off-balance swings with it. Mostly sat 82-84 mph with his fastball and pounded the strike zone. Mixed in a 76-77 mph changeup as well. From the right side of the plate offensively he drove the ball with intent during batting practice, creating loud, hard contact. Also topped out at 84 mph from the outfield on his throws. Strong follow.

2026 RHP/OF Bryce Niebrugge (Lyman HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 152 pounds on an athletic frame with room to still add strength. Showed off a quick arm during bullpens, sitting 82-84 mph with his fastball. Mixed in an above average changeup 78-79 changeup with fade and a 71-72 mph curveball. Still more in there. Strong follow.

2026 LHP James Faircloth (Tocoi Creek HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-3, 165 pounds on a long and lean frame with plenty more in the tank. Ball comes out of his hand easy. During bullpens he featured a low 80s fastball, touching 83. Also mixed in a low 70s curveball and an above average changeup at 76-77 mph. Hides the ball well. Look for a jump in the near future. Strong follow. 

2027 IF/RHP Oakley Hayhurst (Trinity Catholic, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 155 pounds on an athletic frame that will continue to become more physical. Two-way prospect that stood out throughout the event. Offensively from the right side he drove it back up the middle multiple times during batting practice. Quick hands and stayed balanced. On the mound he featured a fastball up to 80 mph along with a low 70s curveball and a 74-75 mph changeup. Strong follow.

2027 OF Noah Lovelady (Hagerty HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 152 pounds on an athletic frame. Really stood out during batting practice as he stayed balanced while being quick and direct to the ball from the right side. Used the whole field with plenty of line drives. More jumps in gap-to-gap power to come as he continues to fill out. Accurate throws from the outfield while also featuring a fastball up to 79 mph during bullpens. Strong follow. 

2027 LHP Nick Sande (Umatilla HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 161 pounds on a frame that projects. Loose, quick arm. Featured a fastball up to 81 mph while displaying an above average curveball (got multiple off-balance swings with it) at 67-68 mph with depth. Flashed a changeup in the upper 60s as well. Shows a feel to throw his full arsenal for strikes. Strong follow.

2027 C Brady Jensen (Viera HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 155 pounds with present athleticism, lean strength. Will continue to become more physical. Really stood out from behind the plate with strong wrists and an above average arm on his throws down to the bag. Quick release. Offensively the hands are quick through the zone and he shows the ability to drive the ball anywhere on the field. Takes a smart at-bat and hangs in the count, fouling off tough pitches. Above average instincts. Strong follow.
