Diamond Prospect Media Summer 2022 All-Uncommitted 1st Team Released

This past summer season our scouting staff was able to see hundreds of players who stood and made an impact for their team. Tonight, we are releasing our Summer 2022 All-Uncommitted 1st Team which features the top uncommitted players we covered during the summer season.
*Please note, these are players our scouting staff was able to see throughout the summer. We know that there are many other uncommitted players who made an impact for their team as well. As always, please feel free to reach out to let us know how you performed and how we can make sure we see you during the fall.

1st Team C
2023 C Mateo Serna (Elite Squad, FL) Committed to University of Memphis
Stands at 6-foot 195 lbs on a physical, athletic frame, especially in the lower half that he implements offensively to drive the baseball. Really stands out from the left side as the hands are fast and strong through the zone, allowing him to impact the baseball with loud, hard contact. He works gap to gap and the ball really jumps off the bat. Above average runner on the basepaths as well. Strong follow.

2024 IF/RHP Jayden Harriel (Top Tier Roos, FL) Committed to Florida Atlantic University
Tall, physical frame that shows real offensive firepower. Ball really jumps off the bat and drives the ball with intent for extra base hits. Present juice and there’s more to come. Also can run it up to 88 mph with his fastball on the mound. Heart of the order bat that is suited to drive in lots of runs.

2024 MIF/RHP Antonio Socarras (CBU, FL) Committed to University of Pittsburgh
Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds on an athletic frame with present strength throughout and a stronger lower half. Offensively, he has fast hands with a present feel for the barrel and as a result the ball really jumps off the bat for hard hit line drives. Socarras has been up to 96 mph across the diamond and displays smooth, confident hands. On the mound he has been in the low 90s and mixes in an above average slider. High-end athlete that will be a difference maker at the next level.
2024 MIF/C Andy Perez (FTB Phillies, FL) Committed to University of Pittsburgh
Lean, athletic frame with room to fill out. Confident hitter. Perez displays fast, loose hands with present bat speed. Defensively he fields the ball smoothly and has a strong, accurate arm across the diamond and at the plate as well.
1st Team 3B
2024 IF Cole Huddleston (Top Tier Roos, FL)
Fast hands, stays balanced, and sprays the ball all over the field. Looks to drive his pitch to hit when he sees it. Works the count and takes a smart at-bat. Aggressive runner who is always looking to take the extra base on the throw in, put himself in a better scoring position. Confident defender at the corner as well with an accurate, above average arm.

2024 OF Zane Pestalozzi (CBU, FL) Committed to Campbell University
Stands at 6-foot-2 on a projectable, athletic frame with some present strength throughout. Pestalozzi stands out in multiple ways as he displays above average bat speed with a present feel for the barrel that allows him to really drive the ball with intent. Has flashed present pull side power as well. Above average athleticism, clocking in at 6.54 seconds his 60 yard dash.
2025 OF/1B Alejandro Abreut (Team Caribe, FL)
Displays plenty of potential from the left side of the plate. Loose, easy hands through the zone that not only can drive the ball with intent to the pull side, but can drive it the other way for hard line drives as well. Long, athletic frame that will continue to fill out, see additional jumps in power. Also has clocked in at 6.88 seconds for his 60 yard dash.
2023 OF Vic Patel (FL Dodgers Scout Team, FL) Committed to Barry University
Impact bat from the left hand side. Patel has a balanced, simple approach that finds the barrel often. He also displays quick hands through the zone with present power to all areas of the field. Above average athleticism, which translates defensively as he's able to cover a ton of ground in the outfield. Strong follow.

2023 RHP Jack Garvey (Power Baseball, FL) Committed to College of Central Florida
Currently stands at 6-foot-4 on a tall, lean frame with room to fill out. Whippy arm with more in the tank. Garvey’s fastball sits 88-90 mph with life. He also mixes in an effective slider at 75-77 mph, generating lots of swings and misses. Really fills the zone up.
2024 RHP Robert Mitchell (Power Baseball, FL) Committed to Wake Forest University
Standing at 5-foot-10 on an athletic frame with a strong lower half. Mitchell has made a nice jump this summer with his fastball sitting 87-89 touching 90 mph with arm-side run. He also mixes in a change-up sitting 78-80 with fade, along with a nasty curveball at 70-72 mph that he has shown an above average feel for inducing lots of swings and misses. Quick arm.
2023 RHP John Caballero (Gamblers Elite, FL) Committed to College of Central Florida
Tall frame that projects. Displays swing and miss stuff with upside. Features a fastball that sits 88-91 mph consistently with 2500+ RPM. Life to the fastball and comes out of his hand easy. Also mixes in a hard curveball with tight spin at 76-79 mph. More velocity to come, pounds the strike zone.

2024 OF/RHP Kaiden Lopez (Power Baseball, FL) Committed to Stetson University
Stands at 6-foot on an athletic frame. At the plate Lopez displays quick hands through the zone with good feel for the barrel. He has also shown the ability to drive the ball deep in the gaps repeatedly for extra base hits. On the mound his fastball sits 87-89 mph touching 91. He also mixes in a 79-80 mph changeup and a nasty curveball in the low 70s, generating plenty of swings and misses. Strong two-way follow as we enter the Fall.
2024 OF/RHP Chase Nystrom (Power Baseball, FL) Committed to the University of Central Florida
Currently stands a 6-foot on a lean, athletic frame with more to come. Offensively Nystrom displays quick hands and is an above average to plus runner on the base paths. Can run the ball down in the gaps defensively. The athleticism translates to the mound as well where Nystrom has run his fastball up to 90 mph (sitting 86-89 with 2300+ RPM). The fastball shows armside run and sink as well. Nystrom also mixes in an effective curveball sitting 73-75 with depth. Quick arm with more in the tank. Strong follow.
