PrimeTime Big 6 Showcase Standouts Part 2

From August 6-7th, PrimeTime Showcases ran their Big 6 Showcase in Daytona Beach, FL at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, home of the Daytona Tortugas. Players from the 2023-2026 classes went through a pro-style workout, bullpens, and live games over the two-day stretch.

2025 RHP Raymond Groetsch (Nature Coast Technical, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot1, 160 pounds on a lean, athletic frame that will continue to fill out, become more physical. Arm that has a chance to make some real jumps in the near future, running his fastball up to 85 mph with life and 2400+ RPM. Also mixed in a 69-71 mph curveball that showed depth and shape along with a 75-76 mph changeup. Strong follow.

2023 RHP Brett Dennis (Providence HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds on a frame that projects. Fast arm and featured a fastball that sat 87-90 with 2300+ RPM and working down in the zone. Also mixed in a 73-74 mph curveball with depth at 2400+ RPM and a 79-81 mph changeup. Generated multiple swings and misses during his outing. Repeats well, quick arm with more in the tank. Strong follow.

2024 MIF/RHP Garrett Albright (Camden County HS, GA)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 160 pounds on a long, athletic frame. Albright stood out as a two-way throughout the weekend, flashing multiple tools. On the mound he ran his fastball up to 86 mph that showed run while mixing in a 71-72 mph curveball and 76-77 mph changeup. More to come.  Strong arm up the middle defensively and makes the plays to his left and right. Offensively, he has above average bat speed which translated to game action where he jumped on a fastball and drove a ball back up the middle for a single.

2024 RHP Jesse Murrell (Bartram Trail HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds a on a tall, projectable frame. Still room to fill out which should translate to additional velocity to come. During his outing in the mound he worked a clean inning, striking out multiple batters with all the pitches in his arsenal. The fastball mostly sat 83-86 mph with 2350+ RPM while mixing in a 76-79 mph changeup and 70-73 mph curveball with downer action. Strong follow.

2024 MIF Gavin Marchese (Oxbridge Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 155 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Stood out offensively with a quick bat that stays Director the ball and balanced throughout his swing. Able to manipulate he barrel. This translated to in game action where he recorded two base hits, including a line drive single back up the middle. Strong follow.

2023 LHP Ethan Hummel (Orangewood Christian, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds. Featured a fastball that mostly sat 82-84 mph has while mixing in a 73-74 mph changeup as well. His best pitch was the curveball at 71-73 mph that had 2600+ RPM, throwing it for strikes. Induced lots of weak contact with swings and misses throughout his outing. Pounds the strike zone. Strong follow.

2025 RHP Aaron Watson (Trinity Christian Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 165 pounds on a lean frame that really projects. One of the best younger arms at the event as he displayed a fast arm and ran his fastball up to 86 mph. Mostly pitched at 82-85 while mixing in a 72-73 mph slider and 75-76 mph changeup. Threw all his pitches for strikes, strong follow.

2024 C Gianni Lombardese (Reborn Christian Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 195 pounds on a physical frame, especially in the lower half. Above average defender behind the plate who showed strong wrists, ability to stick pitches, and keep the ball in front of him by deadening pitches in the dirt. Strong arm with carry and accuracy on his throws to the bag with a best pop time of 1.91 seconds. Offensively he displayed present power and the ball really jumps off the bat. Had one of the best offensive showings during his batting practice rounds. Strong follow.

2024 OF Cooper Pitman (Oviedo HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with present athleticism. Stood out offensively where he created lots of loud, hard contact and drove the ball deep into the gaps during his batting practice rounds. Very fast hands through the zone and looked to impact the baseball out in front with intent. Strong follow.

2023 OF Pedro Morales (Reborn Christian Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds on an athletic frame with present strength throughout. Showed his above average athleticism early in the event by clocking in at 6.59 seconds for his 60 yard dash time. During batting practice he was able to produce lots of loud contact from left side. Present pull side juice as well. Strong follow.

2023 C Alex Monile (Calvary Christian Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 175 pounds on a compact, athletic frame. Stood out offensively from the left side of the plate where he consistently drove the ball back up the middle and to the pull side during batting practice for multiple hard hit line drives. Regularly produced exit velocity readings of 90+ mph off the bat. Strong follow.

2023 MIF Jet Cajigas (Mandarin HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-8, 160 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Very strong defender up the middle who not only stood out during the workout portion, but made a tough play up the middle, fielding the ball off-balance with a spin and accurate throw to 1B for the out. Clocked in at 6.98 seconds for his 60 yard dash time. Strong follow.
