Santaluces Slam Tournament Night 1 Recap
Last night, the Santaluces Slam Tournament kicked off from Santaluces HS which hosted eight high schools in the south Florida area in: American Heritage Delray, Palm Beach Central, Boca Raton, St. John Paul II, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Dwyer, and Santaluces.
Below are the final scores from each of the first matchups from Night 1 followed by several standouts throughout the 4 games. Another round of games begins tonight which is shown following the standouts.

2020 OF CJ Kayfus (Palm Beach Central HS, FL)
Miami commit. Kayfus has a physical, athletic frame with a strong lower half. Above average bat speed from the left side that frequently finds the barrel, driving the ball deep into the gaps. During one of his at-bats he laced a ball deep into right-center field which lead to a standup triple. Above average runner and can kick it into the next gear when he gets going. Strong follow.
2021 IF Cade Bush (Palm Beach Gardens HS, FL)
Florida State commit. Bush has a tall, strong frame and shows plenty of confidence in the box. Stays balanced throughout and squares it up for hard, solid contact. Had a standout night at the plate which included a home run that was launched over the left field wall for a no-doubter home run. Will be a big run producer in the lineup this season. High follow.
2020 OF Bailey Uderitz (American Heritage Delray HS, FL)
Pepperdine commit. Uderitz continued to show present pull side power from the left side of the plate, driving a ball deep over the right field wall for a no-doubter home run during one of his at-bats. Tall frame and creates leverage.
2020 OF Sam Murrison (American Heritage Delray HS, FL)
Indiana commit. Murrison made his presence felt at the top of the order early as he started off the game by lacing a ball over the left fielder’s head for a standup double. Above average runner and creates pressure on the base paths. Followed it up later on with a line drive single ripped up the middle.
2020 IF Jake Torres (St. John Paul II HS, FL)
Dominican College commit. Athletic, compact frame with quick hands from the right side of the plate. Looks to drive the fastball into the gaps with a confident approach. During one of his at-bats he drove a ball into right-center field for a standup double.
2020 OF Connor Roth (Jupiter HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Athletic frame with a strong lower half. Stood out offensively from the right side of the plate where he showed above average bat speed and a simple approach. Some present pull side pop. Also had a stolen base on the night.
