Florida Burn 2022 College Instructional Camp and Showcase Standouts Part 1

This past weekend the Florida Burn held their 2022 College Instructional Camp Showcase in Sarasota, FL, home of spring training the Baltimore Orioles. Players from the 2023-2026 classes went through a pro-style workout, bullpens, and live games over the three-day stretch. 

Below is Part 1 of the standouts from the event that made an impact on our scouting staff and will be strong follows moving forward as we head into the fall season.

2025 MIF David Dubrule (Venice HS, FL)

West Point commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 145 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Stood out offensively during batting practice where he showed quick hands, a confident approach, and the ability to drive the ball all over the field. Present feel for the barrel and stays direct to the ball. Above average feel for the game. Strong follow.

2025 OF Nicholas Dunn (Venice HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds on a solid, physical frame. Really stood out offensively where he put together a couple of loud rounds of batting practice, showing pull side juice and impacting the baseball with intent. Ball really jumps off the bat and is suited to drive in runs in the heart of the order. Strong follow.

2023 RHP Trent Adrian (Venice HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Big, tall frame standing at 6-foot-6, 225 pounds with room to still fill out. Displayed a fast arm during his bullpen where he featured a fastball that was mostly 86-87 mph, touching 88 along with a present feel for his slider at 71-73 mph with depth. More in there. Strong follow.

2023 RHP Abel Albarran (Lemon Bay HS, FL)

Trinity College commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds with present athleticism. Stood out as a two-way throughout the weekend. On the mound he showed off a quick arm with life to the fastball which mostly sat 87-89 mph. Also mixed in a 78-79 mph changeup and low 70s curveball. Threw lots of strikes and works from a deliberate windup. Offensively, he creates loud, hard contact off the bat and was able to produce multiple hard hit line drives back up the middle during batting practice. Strong follow. 

2025 LHP Jobe Fish (Venice HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds on a long, projectable frame. Impressive bullpen where he featured a fastball at 81-83 mph, touching 84 with life. More to come as he continues to fill out his frame. Also mixed in a sweeping slider at 70-72 mph. Arm that has a chance to make some big jumps. Strong follow. 

2024 RHP Will St. Onge (Riverview HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds with an athletic frame, strong lower half. Worked a quick bullpen, running his fastball up to 87 mph (mostly working at 85-86) along with a 77-79 mph changeup and 69-71 mph curveball. Above average athleticism with more to come.

2025 C Landon Marsters (Riverview HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds with a physical frame. Stood out offensively all throughout the weekend. Barreled it up multiple times for hard hit line drives during batting practice, impacting the baseball with hard contact. This translated to in-game action when he ripped a ball back up the middle for a line drive single. 

2023 RHP JT Long (Calvary Christian Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-7, 235 pounds on a physical, extra large frame. Creates plenty of downhill action on his delivery. Featured a heavy fastball at 87-88 mph along with a 72-73 mph curveball that showed depth. Still more in there. Strong follow.

2023 LHP Caden Brown (Inspiration Academy, FL)

Daytona State college commit. Currently stands at 6-foot, 170 pounds on a lean frame with room to still fill out. Ran his FB up to 83 mph during his bullpen but what really stood out was his above average curveball at 70-72 mph with hard break and 2500+ RPM. 

2026 UTL/RHP Ethan Dejesus (Sumner HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 140 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Put together a strong showing during his bullpen where he displayed a fastball at 80-82 mph along with a slider at 69-72 mph. He also mixed in a changeup at 70-71 mph. Whippy arm. Strong follow as he continues to develop.

2023 RHP/OF Jeremiah Pachota (Venice HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds on an athletic frame. During his bullpen he sat 82-84 mph with his fastball while showing off a nasty curveball at 71-73 mph with 2600+ RPM. The breaking ball was one of the best at the event, showing off tight spin and shape. 

2023 IF Tad Brooks (Calvary Christian Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 205 pounds on a physical frame with present strength throughout. Stood out offensively when he took a couple of loud rounds of batting practice, driving the ball deep into left field multiple times. Creates loud, hard contact with pull side pop. Strong follow.

2025 MIF Will Bavaro (Park Vista HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Offensively he displayed fast hands and the ability to drive the ball the other way and back up the middle during batting practice. The frame projects to fill out which should translate to additional power. Above average runner as well. Strong follow. 

2025 MIF Tyler Laflamme (Canterbury HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 150 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. During batting practice he sprayed the ball all over the field, showing above average bat speed and staying balanced throughout his swing. Gap-to-gap type hitter. Strong follow.

2024 IF JD Wolff (IMG Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-8, 155 pounds on a compact, athletic frame. Stood out offensively where he displayed easy bat speed from the left side as he sent several pitches deep into right, right-center field during his batting practice rounds. Trusts his hands and stays direct to the ball. More power to come.

2025 MIF Porter Trees (Park Vista HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 150 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Room to fill out. Offensively he displayed a confident approach from the right side as the hands were quick through the zone, swung it with intent during batting practice. Produced a few deep drives to the left field wall. Strong follow.
