Standouts (Part 4 of 4)
2025 LHP Thomas Achey (The First Academy, FL)
Stetson commit. Loose, easy working arm that consistently locates his pitches, uses his full arsenal and mixes up his pitches well. Fastball sits in the mid to upper 80s with life to it. Both the changeup and breaking ball generate off-balance swings. Stays poised and balanced throughout his delivery.
2025 RHP Aiden Smarrito (Winter Springs HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Fast arm and works from a simple windup. The baseball explodes out of his hand, touching 90 while sitting 86-89. Also mixes in a slider in the mid 70s, changeup in the upper 70s. Above average feel for the strike zone and pitch command.
2026 RHP/OF Maddux Bultema (Lake Minneola HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Present physicality and stood out during his bullpen where he sat 85-87 mph, touching 88. Showed good run on the fastball with 2200+ RPM and showed above average secondary pitches. Displayed a strong arm from right field, topping out at 90 mph on his throws. Offensively he showed the ability to drive the ball back up the middle, to the pull side with hard contact.
2026 OF/RHP Ethan Rathmann (Olympia HS, FL)
Miami commit. High-end athleticism that shows everywhere. Displayed his upper 80s fastball mixed with well rounded off-speed pitches. Consistent zone presence. Offensively everything jumps off the bat as he produced hard line drives all over the field during batting practice. Extra base hitter who creates pressure on the base paths with his above average speed. Efficient and quick routes to the ball in the outfield.
2026 MIF Tyler Lomas (Bishop Moore Catholic, FL)
UCF commit. Was a catalyst out of the leadoff spot this past summer, consistently driving the ball to the pull side and back up the middle for base hits. above average bat speed from the left side and finds the barrel often for base hits. Still more power to unlock as well. This translated to game action when he ripped a ball into right-center field for a line drive single. Confident defender up the middle with lateral range.
2026 IF/RHP Ayden Ramos (Tocoi Creek HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Physical frame and uses his strong lower half to drive the baseball offensively. During batting practice he went gap-to-gap with multiple hard line drives. This translated to game action when he barreled one up and roped a ball deep into the left-center field gap for a standup double. Fields the ball under control with accurate throws across the diamond.
2026 RHP Ayden Gonzalez (North Marion HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Firm, athletic frame that can work downhill at a strong level. On the mound he stands tall and well balanced throughout his delivery to the plate. Upon delivery the glove gets raised chest high, where the front leg also goes as he supplies a simple approach. Remains in the zone with his pitches and knows when to locate. Fastball reaches in the upper 80s paired fluently with a changeup sitting at 76-77 mph. Holds runners on well and stays poised. Upper/lower body is above average and is a big part of his success on the mound. Still more to come from a velocity perspective.
2026 RHP/OF Nolan Borgia (Bishop Moore Catholic, FL)
Uncommitted. Strong lower half and while Borgia has previously stood out on the offensive side, his progress on the mound was noticeable as well. Quick arm and featured a fastball that was up to 85 mph, mostly sitting 82-84. Still more in there and showed a feel for his off-speed stuff too. From the left side of the plate the hands are loose and strong through the zone, demonstrating pull side juice and deep drives into right-center field during batting practice.
2027 C Brady Jensen (Viera HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Athletic frame that has become noticeably more physical, notably in the lower half. Defensively the wrists are strong, receives pitches well. Works from a quality position with an above average arm that translates to accurate and on-line throws to the bag. Quick hands from the right side of the plate and showed the ability to drive the ball back up the middle for hard line drives.
2027 RHP/IF Trace Farmer (Fernandina Beach, FL)
Uncommitted. Strong lower half and stood out as a two-way prospect. Noticeable jump on the mound where he ran his fastball up to 89 mph, mostly sitting in the 85-88 range. Throws the breaking ball for strikes, shows depth to it. Generated multiple swings and misses during game action. Offensively from the right side the ball jumps off the bat with present power. Generated a top exit velocity of 94 mph.
