Standouts (Part 1 of 4)
2025 LHP Brady Montrowl (Lake Minneola HS, FL)
Recent commit to UCF that happened right after the event. Tall and projectable frame with a loose and free working arm. Ball comes out of the hand with ease. Put together several solid outings over the summer with a fastball in the upper 80s before making a noticeable jump, running his fastball up to 91 mph during bullpens. Mixed in a low 80s changeup with some fade along with a sweeping slider in the mid to upper 70s. Still more in there and an arm to follow closely over the next year.
2025 C/RHP Rhys Rego (Freedom HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Has present strength throughout, notably in the lower half. Stood out as a two-way prospect throughout the event. Offensively from the right side he produces plenty of hard line drives into left, left-center field with quick, strong hands. Some pull side pop as well. On the mound he featured a low to mid 80s fastball on the mound with a feel for his off-speed stuff. Accurate throws to the bag from behind the plate.
2025 RHP Michael Surane (Foundation Academy, FL)
Recent commit to Coker University that happened right after the event. Physical, athletic frame that still has some room to fill out. Logged multiple outings over the summer where he not only racked up strikeouts, but worked deep into games by getting outs. Low to mid 80s fastball with still more to come. Above average curveball that shows tighter spin in the low 70s. Occasionally mixes in a changeup.
2026 RHP/IF Alan Overmyer (Barron Collier HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Tall, athletic frame that will continue to fill out which should translate to additional jumps on the mound. Was one of the top arms at the event, running his fastball up to 90 mph while sitting mostly at 86-89. Mixed in a low 70s curveball with depth and a 78-79 mph changeup. Translated to game action with multiple swings and misses along with strikeouts. Quick arm with still more in the tank.
2026 RHP/IF Jordan Livingston (Mount Dora Christian Academy, FL)
Uncommitted. Impressed right away during his bullpen, running his fastball up to 90 mph. Works from an up-tempo windup. Mostly sat 85-89 with life while mixing in a mid 70s slider with depth and an upper 70s changeup with fade. This translated to game action where he struck out multiple batters during game action with his full arsenal. Arm that has a chance to make another jump relatively soon.
2026 LHP Tyler Kenast (Winter Springs HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Projectable frame with some strength in the lower half. Works from a simple windup and stays balanced throughout. Features a fastball up to 88 mph, mostly sitting 85-87 with still more in there. Mixes in a changeup in the low 80s and a low 70s curveball with depth. Struck out multiple batters during game action.
2026 RHP Levi Veirs (Orange City University HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Slim, athletic build with a balance of strength between upper/lower body. On the mound he displays a fastball that reaches mid 80s paired with an off speed that sits in the 70s. Both pitches work well off each other and have equal amounts of control. Uses all of his body to stride off the mound and finishes strong. Starts in the stretch with the glove by his belt. Consistent strike thrower.
2027 LHP/OF Kingston Ebanks (Olympia HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Was a top two-way standout at the event. Offensively from the left side the hands are loose and quick, producing plenty of deep drives into right-center, right field during batting practice. Real power potential. Easy working arm on the mound and ran his fastball up to 85 mph while pitching in the 82-84 range with a present feel for his off-speed stuff as well. From the outfield his throws were accurate to the bag, topping out at 86 mph.
2027 C/RHP Matthew Wetherell (Trinity Catholic, FL)
Uncommitted. Firm, powerful frame. At the plate he shows a level to uppercut swing that gives him that raw power to each gap. The lower half works well as he plants his front foot in unison. Behind the plate he shows the ability to move laterally to keep the ball in front of him. Throwdowns were precise and quick with an impressive glove to hand transfer. On the mound he was able to consistently locate with a lower 80s fastball. Calm delivery paired well with an off speed in the mid 70s.
2027 MIF/RHP Oakley Hayhurst (Trinity Catholic, FL)
Uncommitted. A strong, balanced, athletic frame that can provide a lot of versatility. Offensively, the mechanics and movements are simple. Consistent barrel path with his hands in a comfortable place. Provides a line drive approach to both sides of the field. Can run into some power swings with a small leg lift. On defense he sees the ball into the glove and makes effortless across the diamond. Quiet feet with ability to find range to either side. On the mound he possesses the same approach, mechanically sound and precise. Mixes in a low 80s fastball along with a changeup that induced swings and misses.
2028 IF/OF/BHP Mason Demetree (Lake Mary HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Stood out from an offensive standpoint as he displayed a smooth, left handed swing that found the barrel often for loud, hard drives during batting practice. Lets his hands work through the zone and stays balanced throughout his swing, finish. Plenty of extra base hits in the swing with more power to come. Ambidextrous pitcher who throws in the mid to upper 70s on the mound. Above average feel for the game. Lots to like moving forward.
2028 IF/RHP Zachary Konrad (Hagerty HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Present strength throughout and stood out in multiple ways throughout the event. On the mound he sat 79-82 mph with his heavy fastball, touching 83. Upper 60s curveball that showed depth and shape. Present feel for his pitches to throw them for strikes. Translated to game action where he was efficient, only throwing 14 pitches to get through good hitters. Topped out at 80 mph from across the infield. Offensively he showed quick, strong hands through the one from the right side, producing plenty of hard line drives during batting practice.
