Standouts (Part 3 of 3)

2025 RHP Owen Phypers (St. John Neumann HS, FL)
Navy commit. Tall, physical frame and has really added strength over the past year. During bullpens he filled up the zone well and had a really good presence on the mound. Stays balanced throughout his delivery and features a fastball in the upper 80s. Flashes a low 80s changeup and a mid 70s breaking ball.

2025 RHP Dylan Supple (Sarasota HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Displayed a loose, quick arm during his bullpen and ran his fastball up to 89 mph with life. Mostly sits 86-88 while mixing in a 70-71 mph curveball with depth and a 78-80 mph changeup with fade. Pounded the zone with his full arsenal. More in the tank as well.

2026 RHP/IF/OF Ethan DeJesus (Sumner HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Above average athleticism that translates in multiple ways. On the mound he generated multiple swings and misses with a fastball up to 87 mph, mostly sitting 85-86. Mixed in the above average 78-79 mph slider with 2650+ RPM and a low 80s changeup. The switch hitter showed off pull side pop from the left hand side, went gap-to-gap from the right hand side during batting practice. Shows off a strong arm from right field, topping out at 92 mph with carry. Smooth actions up the middle.

2026 MIF Dylan Messina (IMG Academy, FL)
Uncommitted. Compact, physical frame. Present strength throughout. The switch-hitter took some loud rounds of batting practice, showing off easy power from both sides of the plate. The hands are strong and quick through the zone. Put one over the wall from each side and the ball jumps off the bat.

2026 RHP Chase Sivulich (North Port HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Displayed a quick arm, running his fastball up to 87 mph while mostly sitting 85-86 during his bullpen. Also flashed an upper 70s slider with depth. Works down in the zone. More to come.

2026 RHP Mitch Macphee (Martin County HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Athletic frame with a fast arm. Ran his fastball up to 88 mph with life while mostly sitting 85-87. Mixed in an upper 70s changeup with some fade along with a 68-70 mph curveball. Real upside.

2027 RHP August Backman (Venice HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Loose, easy working arm with still plenty more to come. Ball really jumps out of his hand. Consistently sat in 84-85 mph range with his fastball. Changeup in the mid 70s along with a curveball that showed tighter spin, depth to it in the low 70s. Expect to see another jump in the near future.
