Seminoles Stage Late Comeback to Defeat Lake Mary 6-5
Last night the Seminole Seminoles visited the Lake Mary Rams in a matchup that saw the away team secure a come from behind victory late. Notable performances at the plate came from 2023 1B/3B Cody Tjomsland, 2021 C/1B Patrick Fink, 2023 MIF Bo Alexander, and 2021 RHP/IF Quentin Graves as all four delivered multiple hits for the Seminoles.
The Seminoles got off to a hot start early in the top of the first with an early 1-0 lead due to Cody Tjomsland driving a ball into shallow right field for an RBI single. Quentin Graves then hit a hard ground ball into left field for an RBI double, bringing in two more runners resulting in the Seminoles extending their lead to 3-0.
The Rams would answer back fast, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first due to a passed ball and an RBI groundout courtesy of Ryan Ashford. The Rams would go on to take the lead in the Bottom of the third with Ashford striking again as he drove a ball deep into right field for an RBI Single, bringing in 2 runs and giving Lake Mary the lead 4-3.
Although the Seminoles would tie the game on an errant throw in the top of the sixth the Rams would answer back quickly again with a runner coming in to score off another errant throw, giving Lake Mary the lead 5-4 entering the top of the 7th.
However, the Seminoles would fight their way back into the lead with Cody Tjomsland hitting a line drive RBI single into left field to bring in two runners to give the Seminoles the lead 6-5. Quentin Graves came in for relief in the last inning to secure the comeback victory for the Seminoles.
With the win the Seminoles moved to 11-8 while the Rams fell to 10-9.

2024 LHP/1B Ryan Ashford (Lake Mary HS, FL)
Miami Commit. Tall, strong frame with present pull side power. During one of his at-bats he roped a ball to the right field wall for a double. Was one of the key contributors for the Rams as he finished the game 2-4 at the plate with three RBI. He finished the night on the mound sitting 82-83 with his fastball.
2023 1B/3B Cody Tjomsland (Seminole HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Tjomsland had finished the night going 2-4 at the plate with 3 RBI and a run scored. Ball jumps off the bat well. In the top of the seventh he hit a line drive single to left field to bring in two runners and secure the win for the Seminoles.
2021 C/1B Patrick Fink (Seminole HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Has a big frame and consistently found the barrel of the bat. Finished the game going 3-4 at the plate, leading the Seminoles in hits, with two runs scored. Showed great discipline at the plate and didn’t chase bad pitches.
