Mar 16 Stallions Blank Barron Collier as DiGiorgio Goes Yard

Yesterday Barron Collier took on the American Heritage Stallions in what would end up resulting in a 5-0 shutout win for the Stallions. 2021 OF Tommy DiGiorgio (Catholic University commit) paced the offense for the Stallions in the game as he was a perfect 3-3 from the plate and went yard with a homer over the left field wall. 2024 IF Anthony Tralongo was also a key part of the Stallions offensive output as he delivered a sac fly and RBI single during two of his at-bats. DH Jason L’Etoile and CF Kevin Coyne also chipped in on offense as well.

The Stallions got a strong start from 2021 LHP Carsten Finnvold (Florida commit) who also made his presence felt on the mound as he surrendered 0 runs on three hits through 6 IP, while striking out six. The southpaw earned the win for the game. 2021 3B/RHP Blake Tipmore came in for relief and picked up right where Finnvold left off, closing out the final inning and striking out a batter along the way as well.

With the win the Stallions moved to 1-0 in tournament play and 8-4 on the season while Barron Collier fell to 0-1 in tournament play and 3-6 on the season.
