PrimeTime Big 6 Showcase Standouts Part 1

This past weekend PrimeTime Showcase and Camps ran their Big 6 Showcase in Daytona Beach, FL at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, home of the Daytona Tortugas. Players from the 2023-2026 classes went through a pro-style workout, bullpens, and live games over the two-day stretch.

Below is Part 1 of the standouts from the event that made an impact on our scouting staff and will be strong follows moving forward.

2023 C Luis Turmero (Reborn Christian, FL)

Uncimmitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 200 pounds with a strong lower half. Established himself as one of the top standouts this past weekend, shining both defensively and offensively. Above average bat speed with present strength throughout that allows him to drive the ball deep into the gaps for extra base hits including this triple here. This translated to a triple during gameplay on a ball that was laced deep into the left-center field gap. Plus defender behind the plate who threw out multiple base runners during gameplay with a best pop time of 1.91 seconds. Strong follow.

2023 RHP Dylan DeLeo (Winter Haven HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Tall, projectable frame standing at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds. Ran his fastball up to 90 mph and struck out multiple batters during his outing. Fastball sat 87-89 while mixing in a 79-80 mph changeup and a 71-72 mph curveball with depth and shape that generated swings and misses. More in the tank. Strong follow.

2024 OF/RHP Connor Cantillo (Port St. Lucie HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds on a projectable, athletic frame. Room to still fill out. Flashed some pull side pop along with multiple line drives back up the middle during his batting practice rounds. Creates loud, hard contact and registered a top exit velocity of 92 mph. During gameplay he laced a ball past the SS for single, then took 2B on an error in left field. Strong arm from the outfield with his throws in the low 90s. Strong follow.

2024 MIF Anthony Brown Jr. (Englewood HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Lean, athletic frame standing at 6-foot, 160 pounds. Put together two impressive rounds of batting practice, driving the ball all over the field with some pull side pop. Expect to see jumps in power as he continues to fill out his frame. This translated in-game when he laced a ball into right-center field for a double. Got a good jump and stole 3B during the next AB as well. Accurate and above average arm across the diamond. Strong follow.

2024 C Joshua Agriesti (McArthur HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Durable, physical frame standing at 5-foot-8, 180 pounds. Really stood out offensively when he showed off present power during his batting practice rounds, lacing several pitches over the left and left-center field wall. Creates loft and drives the ball deep into the outfield. Registered a top exit velocity of 97 mph. Strong follow.

2023 RHP Jacob Hoppe (Pine Ridge HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-5, 205 pounds on a long, tall frame. Ran his fastball up to 90 mph with a loose, quick arm that mostly pitched at 86-89. Mixed in a 77-78 mph splitter along with a 70-72 mph curveball with depth. Projectable frame with more to come. Generated multiple swings and misses. Strong follow.

2025 MIF Elijah Buffaloe (Timber Creek HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds with present athleticism. Offensively the switch hitter worked gap-to-gap from both sides of the plate, driving the ball up the middle and to the pull side. Quick hands. Advanced, athletic actions up the middle defensively with confident hands, fields the ball under control, ranges freely to his left and right, and an above average arm across the diamond. Strong follow.

2025 C Jonathan Bay (Bartram Trail HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-7, 200 pounds with present physicality. Big bat to follow moving forward as he demonstrated present power, driving the ball with intent all over the field. Creates loud, hard contact. Middle of the order bat. Showed off an above average, accurate arm from behind the plate, registering pop times in the 1.93-2.02 seconds range. Strong follow.

2024 1B Raymond Missett (Treasure Coast HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Long, tall frame standing at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds with room to continue to fill out. Stood out offensively from the left side of the plate where he not only showed pull side pop, but the ability to drive the ball the other way as well. More power to come. This translated to gameplay where he laced a ball into right-center field for a base hit. Strong follow.

2023 IF/RHP Nicolas Gutierrez (Archbishop McCarthy HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds with present athleticism, strength. Offensively he displayed quick hands and drove the ball with intent to the pull side and back up the middle during batting practice. Ball really jumps off the bat when he’s on time. During gameplay he laced one to the left-center field wall and hustled his way around the bases for a standup triple. Also ran his fastball up to 87 mph on the mound during bullpens. Strong follow.
