Parkinson, Parmer Combine for One Hit Shutout as Bucs Roll 9-0

Parkinson, Parmer Combine for One Hit Shutout as Bucs Roll 9-0

It was nice, clear skies in Tampa, Florida as the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers took on the Hillsborough Terriers.

The Terriers started off the first inning with some action on the base paths, but 2021 LHP Will Parkinson worked out of it.  The Buccaneers got on the board early after an RBI Double from 2021 OF Andrew DiMisa, and an RBI Double from George Washington Signee INF Johnathan Bruno to end the 1st inning 2-0.

Berkeley was not done doing damage. A pick off play to second and a close call at home plate scored 2021 C Knox Meier in the bottom of the 2nd, followed by an RBI Double from Notre Dame commit and 2023 Graduate Troy Reader, who started behind the plate last night.

The Bucs managed to put up 5 more runs in the 5th and 6th innings from a few walks and sacrifices from Johnathan Bruno and Knox Meier.

Parkinson settled in nicely the next 3 frames, finishing with a stat line of 4 innings without allowing a hit and striking out 4.

2021 VMI Signee Evan Parmer relieved Parkinson, who went 3 scoreless frames and striking out 3 without allowing a walk.

The Buccaneers were in control from the start, with the final score of 9-0
