Last night the Lake Mary Rams visited the Lake Brantley Patriots in a matchup that featured a late offensive surge from the Patriots resulting in an eventual 10-2 victory. Notable performances at the plate came from 2022 3B/MIF Connor Fosnow, 2022 LHP/1B Landon Moran (Florida commit) and 2022 MIF Connor Hensley (St. John’s River commit) who delivered key run scoring hits for the Patriots.

The Rams got out to an early 1-0 lead in the first due to Connor Beare drawing a walk with bases loaded. Lake Mary would maintain that lead through the top of the fourth.

However, Lake Brantley would eventually strike in the 4th inning and with two outs, the Patriots put up five runs on the board by way of 2021 RHP/3B Connor Hensley’s line drive RBI double deep into left field which brought in two runs to score. Followed quickly by an RBI double from 2022 3B/MIF Connor Fosnow and RBI single from 2022 OF/UT Connor Doyle, the Patriots had taken a commanding lead.

The Patriots didn't take their foot off of the gas as they added five more runs in the bottom of the 6th. Connor Fosnow drove in two runs with an RBI single followed by Landon Moran doubling on a line drive into left field to bring in two more runners making it 9-2. 2024 C/1B Michael Kalinich then brought in another runner off of a sac-fly for another five run inning by the Patriots. The Rams attempted to chip away at the large deficit in the bottom of the 7th, but it would fall short as 2022 RHP/OF Savian Loor made quick work of the Rams lineup in the seventh, securing a Patriots 10-2 victory.

2022 3B/MIF Connor Fosnow (Lake Brantley HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds on a physical frame. Was one of the key contributors for the Patriots as he went 2-for-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs. An aggressive hitter who looks to jump on the fastball and tag it.

2022 LHP/1B Landon Moran (Lake Brantley HS, FL)
Florida commit. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds on an athletic frame. During one of his at-bats he roped a ball into left field for an RBI double. Ball really jumps off the bat and creates hard contact.

2022 MIF Connor Hensley (Lake Brantley HS, FL)
St. John’s River commit. Currently stands at 6-foot-3, 197 pounds on a lean, projectable frame. More power to come as he continues to fill out. During one of his at-bats in the game he laced one down to the left field wall for an RBI double.
