Congratulations to the following players on their great performances throughout the season.

5'10 Frame, full of potential. Very fluent mechanics, pitches with lots of energy. In a regional semi final outing against Park Vista his fastball sat 89-93 mph, topping out at 94. Future MLB draft prospect as well.

1st Team RP
2024 RHP Robert Mitchell (Lake Nona HS, FL)
5'10 on an athletic Frame. Mitchell made his chances count as as an impact RP, getting outs in whatever jams or tough spots the Lions needed to get out of. In 3 innings of pitching against Cypress Creek highschool he was able to notch 7 Ks while sitting low to mid 80s with his fastball. He also showed a good feel for his off speed pitches, keeping batters off balance. Over the course of the season Mitchell finished with 19 Ks in 13.1 innings pitched and played a part in the Lions winning a 7A District 6 championship and making a 7A Regional semifinal appearance. A player to watch as he continues to develop and grow.
2022 RHP Sammy Beir (Stoneman Douglas HS, FL) Committed to FAU
Standing at 6-foot-1 on an athletic frame and up to 88, Beir knew how to come in a big spot and nail down the tough outs. In 16 innings pitched he had 23 strikeouts and a 3-0 record. Beir showed up when it mattered most as he closed out the State Semifinal and Final as the Eagles won the FHSAA 7A State Championship. Strong follow with a great mentality on the mound to attack the hitter.
