Windermere Edges Apopka in Late Comeback Victory 2-1
Most of the game was scoreless until the later innings as the highly touted 2020 RHP Carson Montgomery of Windermere HS was throwing heat early on, reaching 94 mph with his fastball. The Florida State commit struck out the side in the first and would strike out three more before exiting in the third inning. 2020 RHP Judson Hershiser came in for relief and kept the Apopka lineup off the board until the bottom of the sixth when they would push across a run due to an error in the field.
Windermere would strike back though in the top of the seventh as they put base runners on and after tying it up on a passed ball, received a clutch RBI single back up the middle by 2020 OF Tyler Ostendorf to put them ahead 2-1.
2022 RHP Matt Pacheco would come in for Windermere in relief, securing the two out save and the 2-1 win. With the victory, Windermere moved to 2-2 on the year while Apopka fell to 1-1.

2021 LHP Garrett Brewer (Apopka HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Tall, lanky frame with room to fill out. Generated multiple swings and misses, running his fastball up to 87 mph.

Troy commit. Threw a four strong innings of relief where he struck out five and only allowed two hits. Quick arm.
