GameTime Showcase Series Tampa Standouts Part 1

From October 15-16th, GameTime Recruiting held their Showcase Series in Tampa, FL at the Courthouse Performance Center and Carrollwood Day School which featured north of 150 players over the two-day stretch. Saturday was bullpens for pitchers while Sunday was a pro-style workout for position players.

Below is Part 1 of the standouts highlighted from the event that made an impact on our scouting staff and will be strong follows moving forward.

Bullpen Notes/Standouts

2024 MIF/RHP Cameron Guise (Sickles HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Athletic frame standing at 6-foot, 170 pounds. Displayed a fast arm, running his fastball up to 87 mph and mostly pitching at 84-86. Present feel for the slider that showed late bite at 77-78 mph. Threw it for strikes. Strong follow. 

2023 RHP/OF Timothy Freundel, Jr. (Tarpon Springs HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Has a long, lanky frame with room to fill out at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds. Sat 82-84 mph with a fastball that showed sink consistently at 1500-1600 RPM. Worked mostly down in the zone. Also displayed a 73-74 mph curveball and a 78-79 mph changeup with some late fade. More in the tank.

2023 RHP/IF Aiden Shea (Cardinal Mooney HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Tall frame that projects at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds. Threw a heavy fastball at 84-87 mph, touching 88 with 2500+ RPM. There’s more in there to unlock velocity wise, especially as he continues to fill out his frame. Also mixed in a 72-73 mph curveball with depth and a 77-78 mph changeup. Strong follow.

2023 RHP Caleb Clover (Inspiration Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Has a lean frame that will continue to fill out at 6-foot, 165 pounds. Sat 85-86 mph with his fastball, touching 87 with late life. Also mixed in a 72-73 mph slider and a 75-76 mph. Above average athleticism, a jump in velocity is coming soon. 

2024 RHP/MIF Blake Perez (South Plantation HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Lean, athletic frame with room to fill out, add physicality at 5-foot-10, 145 pounds. Showed a quick arm, running his fastball up to 84 mph and mostly pitching at 81-83. Works with an up-tempo pace. Also mixed in a 72-73 mph curveball with depth and tighter spin and a 76-77 mph changeup. More in the tank.

2023 LHP Jacob Thomas (Clearwater HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Works up-tempo and looks to pitch down in the zone. Ran his fastball up to 85 mph and pitching at 82-84 with late life. Mixed in a 77-78 mph changeup with fade and a 71-72 mph slider. More in there and another jump could be coming fairly soon. 

2023 LHP/OF Zack McQuiston (Cambridge Christian, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 170 pounds with room to fill out. Repeats well and stays balanced throughout his delivery. Mostly sat 81-84 mph with his fastball that consistently had 2350+ RPM. Mixed in an above average curveball at 67-69 mph with 2400+ RPM that had tight spin and a 76-77 mph changeup. More to come.

Pro-Style Workout Notes/Standouts

2025 OF/MIF Gabe Campos (Calvary Christian HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Lean, athletic frame that will continue to fill out at 5-foot-10, 145 pounds. Showed plenty of offensive potential as the hands are quick through the zone, producing multiple line drives back up the middle during his batting practice rounds. Stays quick and direct to the ball. More power to come.

Post Grad OF/3B Jonathan Sosa (A3 Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Physical, athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds. The ball really jumped off the bat during his batting practice rounds as he consistently registered exit velocity readings of 90+ mph with a top one of 98. Fast, strong hands through the zone. Displayed power to all parts of the field. Topped out at 87 mph on his throws from the outfield. Strong follow that should be a consistent offensive producer at the collegiate level. 

2025 C/3B Ty Harvey (Inspiration Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Physical, athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds. Strong two-way follow moving forward as he possesses multiple above average tools that allow him to really impact a lineup. Offensively the ball really jumps off the bat with loose, quick hands that drive the ball with intent back up the middle and to the pull side. Top of the lineup hitter. From behind the plate he displays strong wrists, sticks pitches, and keeps everything in front of him. Throws down to the bag are accurate and show carry with a best pop time of 1.97 seconds. Natural instincts. 

2023 1B/OF Vance Celiberti (JW Mitchell HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Was one of top standouts at the event, displaying big potential offensively from the left side. Has become noticeably more physical at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, especially in the lower half which he utilizes to drive the baseball. Strong, quick hands through the zone that find the barrel for loud, hard contact. Present pull side juice which was demonstrated with several drives deep into right field. More power in there too. Defensively he showed above actions are round the bag, fielded the ball under control, and made accurate throws across the diamond. Impact left-handed bat in the middle of the order that’s suited to drive in runs. Strong follow.

2023 MIF/RHP Judd Hildreth (Inspiration Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds on an athletic frame with a strong lower half. Loose, quick hands offensively that allow him to produce lots of hard hit line drives. Stays balanced and direct to the ball. Confident hands up the middle defensively and throws across the diamond are accurate, topping out at 86 mph. Above average athleticism, top of the order hitter. Strong follow.

Post Grad MIF Ryan Cerrone (A3 Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 190 pounds with present physicality. Took a standout round of batting practice as he produced plenty of hard contact. Strong hands through the zone, ball jumped off the bat with some pull side pop. Registered a top exit velocity of 92 mph. Accurate throws across the diamond. Clocked in at 7.03 for his 60 yard dash as well. 

2023 MIF/OF Fletcher Hislop (St. Petersburg HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds with present above average athleticism. Stood out all the way around with multiple tools. Fast hands offensively that allow him to drive the ball into the outfield, registering a top exit velocity of 90 mph. Clocked in at 6.65 for his 60 yard dash. 85+ mph on both his throws from the outfield and across the infield. Strong follow.
