Power Baseball 2021 Summer Team Tryouts Standouts Part 1
This past weekend one of the top organizations in the country in Power Baseball held their 2021 Summer Team Tryouts at Turn 2 Sports and Performance and Lake Brantley HS in Orlando, FL. This event featured 300+ players from the 2022-2025 classes from all over the state of Florida and some neighboring states as well. Pitchers threw light bullpens on Friday night followed by a pro-style workout for position players on Saturday and game action on Sunday.
Our scouting staff came away extremely impressed by the level of talent across the board so for that reason we will be splitting up our Standouts breakdown into three parts. Below is Part 1 of our breakdown with reports/notes on each. Please make sure you are following us on our social media outlets as well as we post highlights, clips, and announcements on past and upcoming events.

2024 RHP/MIF Nick Palmi (St. Cloud HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Palmi was one of the biggest standouts on the weekend, showing big potential as a legit two-way. During bullpens he displayed a live arm, topping out at 86 mph with his fastball. Mostly sat 82-85 while mixing in a 67-68 mph curveball and a 70-71 mph knuckleball. Also dropped down his arm slot and sat 81-83. Above average athlete. Offensively, he displays a present feel for the barrel from both sides of the plate and works gap-to-gap. During game play he collected a couple hits, including one driven into left field from the left side of the plate. Up the middle defensively he shows above average actions, a strong arm, and range. Palmi will be a name to watch this upcoming spring as his stock soared over the weekend.
