MVP Florida 2023 Summer Tryouts Standouts Part 2
From December 17th-18th, MVP Florida held their 2023 Summer Tryouts which took place at Shorecrest Prep in St. Petersburg, FL. Over the two-day stretch players went through a pro-style workout on Saturday followed by game action on Sunday. With 100+ players in attendance ranging from the 2024-2027 classes, there were plenty of players who stood out throughout the event.

2024 RHP Nick Biddle Jr. (Northeast HS, FL)
Was one of the top uncommitted two-way standouts at the event, most notably on the mound. Quick, loose arm that shows more in the tank. Frame projects with present athleticism. Ran his fastball up to 87 mph with life, mostly pitching at 85-86 and generating plenty of swings and misses. Also mixed in an above average curveball at 71-73 mph with tighter spin. Expect Biddle to make another jump in the near future. Offensively he displayed present bat speed from the right side of the plate, driving the ball back up the middle. Strong follow.
2024 OF/RHP Evan Miller (Seminole HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Tall, athletic frame that projects to continue to fill out. Displayed an above average arm from right field during defensive drills, topping out at 88 mph on his throws to home. Ranged to the ball and got behind his throws. Offensively the hands are loose and quick through the zone, allowing him to drive the ball with intent back up the middle and into left field. More power to come.
2025 OF/RHP Ronald Causby (Northside Christian, FL)
Miami commit. Tall, lean frame that will continue to become more physical. Showed off his big arm from right field during defensive drills, topping out at 89 mph on his throws to home. Plenty of carry. Well known for his high upside on the mound (been up to 91 mph) with much more in the tank. Expect to see another jump on the mound this upcoming spring. Offensively he displayed some present power during batting practice. Strong follow.
2025 OF Vince Ferrell (Osceola HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Athletic frame with some present strength throughout, notably in the lower half. Stood out offensively where he showed off some present pop during his batting practice rounds, including a couple one that went over the right field wall. Loose, fast hands from the left side. Still more power to come. Strong follow.
2026 MIF Brody Sadlowski (Countryside HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Athletic frame with a stronger lower half. Put together a strong performance during his batting practice rounds which included a couple going over the left field wall. Above average bat speed with a present feel for the barrel. This translated to game action, driving a ball deep into right-center field in his first at-bat for a double. Defensively he ranges freely to his right and left, fielding the ball under control and with accurate throws across the diamond. Strong follow.
2026 OF/RHP Connor Flynn (Jesuit HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Lean frame, room to fill out. Stood out offensively from the left side of the plate where he produced lots of hard contact during his batting practice rounds as he showed the ability to go the other way along with some pull side pop. The hands are quick to the ball and stays balanced throughout his swing. Look for Flynn to see jumps in power as he continues to become more physical.
2027 INF Martin Livings (N/A, FL)
Long, lean frame. Stood out from an offensive standpoint as he drove the ball well into the gaps with power to the pull side as well. The swing stays consistent through the zone from the right side. Young bat to keep an eye on.
