Diamond Prospect Media HS 2022 All-Uncommitted 2nd Team Released

This past high school regular and postseason, our scouting staff was able to see hundreds of players who stood out and made an impact for their team. The Diamond Prospect Media 2022 All-Uncommitted 2nd Team features the top uncommitted players we covered and are highlighted below.

*Please note, these are players our scouting staff was able to see throughout the year. We know that there are many other uncommitted players who made an impact for their team as well. As always, please feel free to reach out to let us know how you performed and how we can make sure we see you during the summer. 

Congratulations to the following players on their great performances throughout the season:

2nd Team C

  • 2023 C Mateo Serna(American Heritage HS, FL)

  • Standing at 6-foot, 195 lbs on a physical frame with a strong lower half. Offensively, Serna displays above-average bat speed from both sides of the plate and works gap-to-gap with present pull side juice from both sides. Present feel for the barrel as well. He finished the season with a .349 BA, 12 Runs on 29 hits, 25 RBI, and added a team-leading 6 home runs. Serna helped power his team to a 5A Regional Final appearance, and 26-2 overall record, while earning a 5A District 15 All-District Team selection. Strong Follow.

2nd Team 1B

2023 1B Guillermo Yepes(Windermere HS, FL)

  • Standing at 6-foot-2 on a big, strong frame. Yepes looks to attack the ball out in front and displays present power with some feel for the barrel. He posted a .293 BA with 15 runs scored on 27 Hits and 24 RBI. He also added 2 dingers, one of them being in a Metro West Semifinal game. The Windy Boys finished the year with a Metro West Championship, 7A District 5 Championship, FHSAA 7A Regional Final appearance, and 24-5 overall record.

2nd Team MIF

  • 2024 MIF Cameron Mallo (Hillsborough HS, FL)

  • Standing at 5-10, 170 lbs on a lean frame with present athleticism. Impact player from the leadoff spot. Mallo displays loose, quick hands with the ability to drive the ball gap to gap. Confident defender with an above average arm as well. He also flashes some two-way potential as he’s been up to 86 mph on the mound. Mallo finished the season with a .303 BA, 10 RBIs on 23 Hits, 20 runs scored, and a homerun. The Terriers achieved a 5A District 6 Semifinal appearance, a 5A Regional Quarterfinal appearance, and 13-13 overall record. Mallo earned a 2nd team all conference selection as well. Strong follow as he continues to develop.

  • 2023 INF KJ Durand(Apopka HS, FL)

  • Athletic frame with room to fill out. Durand displays a quick bat and uses his strong lower half to drive the ball from gap to gap. He also showcases some present power and takes a very smart at-bat, which resulted in a .500 BA, 18 Runs, 24 Hits, and 20 RBI. He also led his team with 4 homeruns. Including a solo shot in a district semifinal win. The Blue Darters finished the year with a 7A District 2 Final appearance, FHSAA 7A Regional Semifinal appearance, and 20-9 overall record. A player to watch as he continues to develop and grow.

2nd Team 3B

  • 2023 IF/OF Luis Rivero(Hagerty HS, FL)

  • Stands at 6-foot-1, 190 lbs on an athletic frame. Rivero displayed above-average bat speed from the right side and present feel for the barrel, with some pull side pop as well. He was a significant contributor to the Huskies offense as he ended the season with a .330 BA, 15 RBIs on 30 Hits, and 21 runs scored. He also added a homerun, which came in a district final. Hagerty finished the year achieving a 7A District 3 Championship, a 7A Regional Championship, 7A State Semifinal appearance, and 17-12 overall record.He also earned a 1st team all Seminole Athletic Conference selection. A player to watch as we go into the summer.

2nd Team OF

  • 2022 OF D’Moi Foy(Oviedo HS, FL)

  • Stands at 6-foot-5 on a long, lean frame with more to come. Quick hands through the zone with some feel for the barrel. Foy finished the year with a .289 BA, 12 RBI on 22 Hits, and 9 runs scored, en route to the Lions achieving a 7A District 3 Semifinal appearance, a 7A Regional Quarterfinal appearance, and 15-12 overall record. He was also an honorable Mention to the All Seminole Athletic Conference Team and selected for the Seminole County All-Star team.

  • 2023 OF Brody Pezza(Seabreeze HS, FL)

  • Stands at 6-foot-one 160 lbs on a lean, athletic frame. Takes a smart at-bat. Pezza displayed loose, quick hands through the zone along with above average bat speed as well. He made a real impact from the leadoff spot, finishing the year with a .327 BA, 3 RBI on 16 hits, and 9 runs scored. The Sandcrabs ended the season with a 4A District 9 Semifinal appearance and a 9-18 overall record.

  • 2024 OF/RHP Riley Luft(North Broward Prep, FL)

  • Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 180 lbs on an athletic frame. Loose, quick hands and looks to attack the ball out in front. Luft has displayed present feel for the barrel as well and finished the year with a .337 BA, 19 RBI on 31 Hits, 21 runs scored, and 16 stolen bases. The Eagles ended the season with a 3A District 13 Championship, 3A Regional Championship, FHSAA 3A Championship, and 24-5 overall record. Luft was also named to the 3A District 13 All-District Team. Strong follow going into the summer.

2nd Team SP

  • 2023 RHP Trevor Harrison(JW Mitchell HS, FL)

  • Stands at 6-foot-3 on a long, projectable frame with more to come. Loose, quick arm that pounds the zone. Harrison displayed a fastball sitting 88-90 along with a curveball at 70-72 mph, which he showed good command of. He also mixed in a changeup at 78-80 mph. Harrison finished the season with a 1.01 ERA in 21 IP, with 32 K’s. His individual efforts helped JW Mitchell get to a 6A District 5 Semifinal appearance, FHSAA 6A Regional Semifinal appearance, and 17-9 overall record. Arm to watch as we enter the summer..

  • 2023 RHP Chris Knier (Jensen Beach HS, FL)

  • Stands at 6-foot on a lean frame with present athleticism. Knier displayed a fastball at 87-89 mph and a nasty curveball as well at 77-78 mph with 2600+ RPM. Knier finished the year with a 0.97 ERA, 58 IP, 82 K’s, and a 8-2 record on the mound. He also flashed some real potential at the plate as well, finishing the season with a .305 BA, 17 runs on 29 hits with 24 RBI. Jensen Beach ended the season with a 4A District 12 Championship, 4A Regional Championship, FHSAA 4A State Final appearance, and 26-5 overall record. Definitely a player to watch during the summer on the mound, and at the plate as well. Strong follow.

  • 2024 RHP Cannon Feazell (Windermere HS, FL)

  • Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 170 lbs on a lean frame with more to come. Quick arm with more in the tank. Feazell displayed a mid-80’s fastball with present ASR. He also displayed an effective curveball in the low 70’s with some real bite. Feazell finished the season with a 1.74 ERA in 24 IP, 25 K’s, and a 4-1 record on the mound. Windermere ended the season with a Metro West Championship, 7A District 5 Championship, FHSAA 7A Regional Final appearance, and 24-5 overall record. He was also named to the All-Metro West Team. Strong follow.

2nd Team RP

  • 2025 LHP Rivers Kurland (Berkeley Prep, FL)

  • Standing at 5-foot-10, 175 lbs on an athletic frame with more to come. Kurland made his chances count as an impact RP, getting outs in some tough spots for Berkeley Prep. Kurland showcased a fastball at 82-83 with life and changeup at 73-74 mph. He also mixed in an effective curveball at 68-71 mph, creating multiple swings and misses. In 47 innings pitched he had a 1.79 ERA, 6 saves, 4-1 record, and 58 strikeouts. Kurland’s individual efforts helped the Buccaneers get to a 3A District 6 Final appearance, 3A Regional Championship, FHSAA 3A State Final appearance, and 20-9 overall record. Kurland made such a good impression as a freshman that he earned a start in their state final game and showed some serious poise. Strong follow as he continues to develop.

  • 2024 RHP Aden Knowles(Jesuit, FL)

  • Stands at 6-foot-2, 180 lbs on a projectable frame that will continue to develop. Quick, loose arm. Knowles showcased a fastball sitting 82-85 mph with run. He also mixed in an effective curveball at 72-75 mph with 2500+ RPM. The Tigers finished the season achieving a 5A District 6 Championship, 5A Regional championship, FHSAA 5A State championship.and 24-8 overall record.  A player to watch as he continues to develop and grow. Strong follow.
