Power Baseball 2022 Fall Season Tryout Camp Standouts Part 1

From August 19th-21st Power Baseball held their 2022 Fall Season Tryout Camp with close to 250 players in attendance. Players from the 2023-2026 classes went through a pro-style workout, bullpens, and live games over the three-day stretch that took place at Turn 2 Sports and Performance along with the Boombah Sports Complex. Below is Part 1 of the 3 standout articles we will be releasing from the event on players that made an impact on our scouting staff and will be strong follows moving forward as we head into the fall season.

2023s

2023 C AJ Goytia (Montverde Academy, FL)

Miami commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds on an athletic frame with present strength throughout. Had a strong summer offensively and continued to show what he brings to the table during batting practice when he barreled it up and drove the ball deep into the gaps, flashing pull side juice as well. Stays quick to the ball and balanced throughout his swing. Strong and accurate arm from behind the plate with a best pop time of 1.97 seconds. Also clocked in at 6.53 seconds for his 60 yard dash time. Impact player in multiple ways who will garner draft follow attention over the next year. 

2023 RHP Chase Marsh (Mount Dora Christian Academy, FL)

Recent Thomas University commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 160 pounds on an athletic frame with a noticeably strong lower half. Still room to fill out. Works out of a high ¾ arm slot that featured a fastball sitting 82-85 mph. Also mixed in a 71-73 mph slider with 2300+ RPM along with a 74-75 mph changeup with some fade. Quick arm, more in there.

2023 RHP/1B Bryce Gluckman (Bishop Moore HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds on a physical, athletic frame. Stood out as a two-way throughout the weekend, most notably on the mound where he pitched in the upper 80s. Has been up to 90 mph. Also mixed in a hard 73-74 mph curveball with depth. More in the tank. Offensively he displayed above average bat speed with a present feel for the barrel, allowing him to drive the ball with intent. Produced multiple hard hit line drives into the gaps. Strong follow this fall.

2023 OF Vic Patel (St. Augustine HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with a strong lower half. Stood out offensively from the left side of the plate where he showed loose, quick hands which allowed him to drive the ball back up the middle and to the pull side for loud, hard contact. This translated to game action where he barreled a pitch up for a deep drive to the right-center field wall for a standup double. Recently named to the DPM Summer 2022 All-Uncommitted 1st Team. Impact left-handed hitter. 

2024s

2024 LHP/1B Ryan Ashford (Lake Mary HS, FL)

Miami commit. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds on a tall, physical frame. Had one of the top overall weekends from a two-way perspective. On the mound he works out of a deceptive release point and shows lots of movement on all his pitches. Featured a fastball that sat 86-87 mph, touching 88 while mixing in a 79-80 mph changeup with fade and a nasty curveball at 72-74 mph with 2550+ RPM. During game action he struck out multiple batters and generated plenty of swings and misses. Offensively he showed present pull side pop during batting practice while driving the ball deep into center and right-center field. Swings with intent from the left side. Trending upward for the fall season, strong follow. 

2024 RHP/OF Kaiden Lopez (Oviedo HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 180 pounds with above average athleticism. Was one of the top uncommitted standouts at the event, showing legit two-way potential. Fast arm on the mound, running his fastball up to 92 mph while mostly sitting 89-81. Also mixed while in an above average curveball at 73-76 mph with 2500+ RPM and a 79-80 mph changeup. Offensively he produced lots of hard hit line drives back up the middle and deep into left field. Simple, confident approach with some present pull side pop. Recently named to the DPM Summer 2022 All-Uncommitted 1st Team. Strong follow this fall.

2024 RHP Blayke Rabens (Windermere HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands 5-foot-11, 168 pounds on an athletic frame that projects. Shows plenty of upside on the mound, featuring a fastball up to 87 mph with run. Pitches mostly at 84-86. Above average feel for both his slider at 75-76 mph and curveball at 71-72 mph. Mixes in an upper 70s changeup as well. Throws both pitches for strikes and keeps hitters off balance. More in the tank, a jump is coming. Strong follow this fall as an uncommitted arm.

2024 RHP Cannon Feazell (Windermere HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds on a frame that projects. Quick arm and the ball jumps out of his hand, running his fastball up to 88 mph and mostly pitching at 85-87. More to come. Above average feel for his offspeed stuff, most notably a curveball at 73-74 mph with 2700+ RPM. Tight spin with hard break. Also flashed a low 80s changeup. Strong follow with a jump coming soon. 

2025s

2025 RHP/1B Will Perry (Martin County HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds on a big, strong frame. Stood out as a two-way throughout the event. On the mound he showed a quick arm, running his fastball up to 85 mph and sitting 82-84 with a curveball at 69-71 mph. More in the tank and throws strikes. Offensively he displayed strong, fast hands through the zone from the left side and some present feel for the barrel. During game action He drove a liner into right field for a single. Strong follow.

2025 MIF Elijah Buffaloe (Timber Creek HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds on a compact, athletic frame. Continued to stand out defensively, showing advanced athletic actions. Bounces around, ranges freely, and fields everything under control and with confidence. Offensively the switch hitter showed easy bat speed from the left side and produced lots of hard line drives into right field. Also displayed present bat speed from the right side. Strong follow.

2025 MIF Erick Martinez (West Orange HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds on a long, athletic frame that will continue to fill out, add physicality. All around strong showing at the event. Offensively he took a standout round of batting practice, driving the ball back up the middle and deep into left field for hard hit line drives. The frame projects for a jump in pull side power. Defensively, he works in confidence and fields everything under control and has the ability to make the tough plays, ranging both to his right and left. Accurate throws across the diamond, heads up player. 

2025 IF Jordan Marlo (Dixie County HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Continues to be a strong follow offensively as he found the barrel multiple times for hard hit line drives into right-center and right field during batting practice. Quick hands from the left side and really works in rhythm. More power to come as he continues to fill out. Impact bat that is suited to drive in runs. 

2026s

2026 LHP/OF Trenton Ramsey (Trinity Catholic, FL)

Miami commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 155 pounds on a lean, athletic frame that will continue to fill out. High-end athleticism with multiple above average tools that stand out. Shows plenty of upside on the mound with a loose, quick arm that runs his fastball up to 86 while pitching at 83-85 with life. Ball comes out of his hand easy. Also mixed in a 70-71 mph curveball with depth and a 75-76 mph changeup. Offensively he showed off loose, fast hands through the zone from the left side and barreled up several pitches for deep drives to the pull side, including a couple that went to the right-center field wall. Topped out at 86 mph on his throws from the outfield and clocked in at 6.98 seconds for his 60 yard dash time. Very strong follow.

2026 C/OF Maddux Bultema (Lake Minneola HS, FL) 

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds on a long, athletic frame that shows some present physicality. Stood out from an offensive standpoint as he worked gap-to-gap, showed some pull side pop during batting practice. As he continues to fill out it should translate to jumps in power. Topped out at 83 mph on his throws from the outfield. Strong follow.
