Summer 2021 All-Uncommitted 1st Team (2023s)

This past summer season, our scouting staff was able to see hundreds of players who stood and made an impact for their team. Today, we are releasing our Summer 2021 All-Uncommitted 1st Team for the 2023 class which features the top uncommitted players we covered during the summer season.
*Please note, these are players our scouting staff was able to see throughout the summer. We know that there are many other uncommitted players who made an impact for their team as well. As always, please feel free to reach out to let us know how you performed and how we can make sure we see you during the fall.

1st Team 2023 C
2023 C/1B Dylan LaPointe (Ostingers Baseball Academy)
Currently standing at 6-foot-1 180 pounds, on a projectable frame with present strength throughout. Implements his strong lower half into his swing and shows a present feel for the barrel as well. Drives the ball deep into the gaps, shows present pull side pop. Defensively, LaPointe consistently makes strong and accurate throws to the bag.
1st Team 2023 1B
2023 1B/LHP Justin Mayes (Team Beast, NY)
Physical, athletic frame at 6-foot, 180 pounds with legit two way potential. Implements his strong lower half into his swing well, and shows the ability to drive the ball gap to gap. Displays above average bat speed as well. On the mound his fastball sits at 85-86 topping out at 87 mph. He also shows a good feel for his slider at 74-76 mph with late action. Strong follow.

2023 MIF Robbie Demetree (Eagles Baseball, FL)
Currently stands at 6-foot, 187 pounds on an athletic frame with a stronger lower half. Continues to become more physical. Loose, quick hands offensively and looks to drive the ball out in front with hard hit line drives into the left-center field gap. Defensively, he shows range up the middle and fields the ball under control and with confidence. Above average arm across the diamond topping out at 93 mph.
2023 MIF Jorge Gonzalez Febo (Power Baseball, FL)
Currently stands at 6-foot-2 on a physical, athletic frame. Smooth defender up the middle with above average footwork that makes strong, accurate throws across the diamond, up to 101 mph. Offensively, Gonzalez Febo displays above average bat speed from both sides of the plate with easy power and more to come. High follow.
2023 MIF/RHP Charlee Soto (Power Baseball, FL)
Currently stands at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds on a tall, long, athletic frame. Room to fill out which will translate to additional jumps in his overall game. Really stands out as a legit two-way prospect. Offensively, he shows present bat speed from both sides of the plate while working gap-to-gap from the right side and displaying pull side pop from the left side. Up the middle he shows off a big arm, topping out at 93 mph on his throws across the diamond. Was also clocked in at 6.96 seconds for his 60 yard dash time. On the mound, he features a fastball that sits 87-89 mph while also mixing in a 70-72 mph curveball. Throws strikes and shows a feel for the breaking ball. Very strong follow.

2023 IF Robert Nedry (Scorpions Marucci, FL)
Currently standing at 6-foot-1 on an athletic frame. Aggressive hitter that looks to jump on the fastball and barrel it up. Ball really jumps off the bat and creates loud, hard contact. Nedry displays quick hands and present pull side power from the left side, with more to come as he continues to fill out. High follow.

2023 OF Jaden Bastian (Power Baseball, FL)
Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Offensively he displays quick hands, a level approach, and works gap-to-gap. Shows the ability to drive the ball the other way which translates to extra base hits due to his above average speed on the base paths. 6.65 for his 60 yard dash time. Tops out at 84 mph on his throws from the outfield.
2023 OF Sammy Hock (XLB Snappers, FL)
Hock really swung a hot bat this summer. Displays loose, fast hands through the zone and finds the barrel well. Also an above average runner on the base paths, clocking in at a 6.69 for his 60. Lots of upside and a very strong follow moving forward.
2023 OF Dallas Dale (Power Baseball, FL)
Currently stands at 6-foot-1 on a lean frame with present athleticism. Dale has a confident, balanced approach and looks to drive the ball gap-to-gap for extra base hits. He also displays above average bat speed and some pull side juice from the left side. Top of the lineup hitter who has the ability to drive in runs and make a real offensive impact. High follow.

2023 RHP Justin Hoff (XLB Snappers, FL)
Tall frame with long limbs at 6-foot-4 that projects to fill out. Pounds the zone and creates multiple swings and misses. Fastball sits 83-85 topping out at 87 mph. Hoff also mixes in an effective curveball with depth at 69-72 mph, that he has shown good feel for. Strong follow as he continues to develop physically.
2023 RHP Adan Longoria (Ostingers Baseball Academy, FL)
Tall, 6-foot-3 frame that projects to fill out. Fastball sits 84-87 mph (been up to 88) with a feel for the breaking ball that displays hard break. Lots of upside with more to come, good chance to make a jump this fall. Pounds the strike zone and can really get in a groove, rack up the strikeouts, and go deep into the game.
2023 LHP Garrett Mackowiak (5 Star Baseball, FL)
Currently stands at 6-foot on an athletic frame. Mackowiak shows an above average feel for all the pitches in his arsenal with his fastball sitting 84-86 mph and his curveball at 71- 72 mph with depth. He also mixes in a 76-77 mph changeup with sink and slider at 73-74 mph. Works up tempo, attacks the hitter. Strong follow.
2023 RHP Skylar Stinson (Power Baseball, FL)
Lean, athletic frame that projects to fill out. Stinson has seen an uptick in velo, with his fastball sitting 83-86 mph, touching 87. He has also shown a present feel for his curveball sitting 73-74 mph with depth, and a 76-78 mph changeup. Works well low in the zone. More velocity to come as he continues to strengthen his frame as well. Strong follow.
2023 RHP/IF Christian Rodriguez (Eagles Scout Team, FL)
Big arm that runs his fastball up to 94 mph. Mostly sits 91-93 with run along with a 79-81 mph slider that shows depth, late action. Fast, loose arm and the ball really jumps out of his hand. Stays poised and shows great mound presence. Above average athlete as well who can drive the ball offensively. Very strong national follow.
1st Team 2023 Two-Way
2023 C/RHP Derek Lopez (Power Baseball, FL)
Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds on a lean frame with above average athleticism. Lopez shows real two-way potential at the next level. On the mound he continues to make jumps, running his fastball up to 89 mph while consistently in the 85-88 mph range. Mixes in an above average 69-70 mph curveball with depth and a 77-78 mph changeup. Throws a high percentage of strikes. Behind the plate he registers pop times in the 1.90-1.95 seconds range and tops out at 80 mph with accurate throws to the bag that have plenty of carry. Offensively he displays above average bat speed from both sides of the plate and works gap-to-gap with present pull side pop from both sides. Very strong follow and should be at the top of everyone’s list to see this fall.
