The Power Baseball program has quickly become one of the top organizations not only in the competitive state of Florida over the past five years, but nationally as well with dozens of players who have gone on and made an impact at various levels.

With over 300 players in attendance, the tryouts stretched over three days which included bullpens on Friday night, a pro-style workout on Saturday, and additional evaluations on Sunday. 2023 RHP/MIF Landon O’Donnell (Inspiration Academy, FL)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds on a tall, athletic, projectable frame. Was one of the top standouts throughout the weekend as he showed off present athleticism and a big arm in multiple areas. On the mound he demonstrated a loose, quick arm during his bullpen that resulted in running his fastball up to 94 mph. Mostly sat 91-93 and the ball really jumps out of his hand. Also mixed in a 79-82 mph slider with depth. Up the middle defensively he showed confident hands and his throws across the diamond were accurate and to the bag, topping out at 94 mph. Offensively, the swing is quick and simple, driving the ball where it’s pitched. Ability to work gap-to-gap. To top it all off, he clocked in at 6.85 for his 60 yard dash time. Two-way prospect that shows plenty of athleticism and multiple above average tools, but his real upside is on the mound. One of the top uncommitted 2023s still left on the board. Will be a strong MLB Draft follow over the next year and a half as well.

2024 LHP/OF Talan Bell (Hagerty HS, FL)
FSU commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds on an athletic frame that projects. Continues to be one of the top players in his class nationally as the left hander not only impresses on the mound, but the overall athleticism stands out as well. During his bullpen he consistently sat 88-89 mph with his fastball that showed life and really jumped out of his hand. Balanced windup and delivery. Also showed an above average feel for his changeup at 78-80 mph with fade, 74-75 mph slider with late movement. From the left side of the plate offensively he displays a present feel for the barrel, driving the ball back up the middle and to the pull side for hard line drives. From the outfield he showed an above average arm with throws that had carry, topping out at 91 mph. Also clocked in at 6.94 for his 60 yard dash time. Very strong follow and a difference maker in the lineup.

2025 LHP/OF Thomas Achey (Boone HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds on a lean frame, room to fill out. One of the top overall standouts for his class at the event, displaying two-way potential. In his bullpen he showed a four-pitch mix with an under control and smooth delivery. Fastball mostly sat in the 78-80 mph range along with 68-70 mph changeup, 62-64 mph curveball, and 67-68 mph slider. Threw all four pitches for strikes. During batting practice Achey displayed great feel for the barrel and created loud, hard contact consistently, taking one of the best rounds of the group. He drove the ball deep into the gaps and finished his round sending a ball over the right field wall. Also displayed a strong arm from the outfield during defensive drills, topping out at 85 mph on his throws with plenty of carry. Strong follow.

2023 LHP Mason Laurito (Forest HS, FL)
FSU commit. Currently stands at 6-foot, 160 pounds on a lean frame that will continue to fill out and add strength. Very quick arm, works from a more up-tempo windup. Fastball mostly sat in the 88-89 mph range, touching 90 with life. Also mixed in an 82-84 mph changeup with fade along with a 75-76 mph slider with depth. There’s more in the tank and is able to jump on the batter with first pitch strikes. Strong follow.

2024 LHP Ryan Ashford (Lake Mary HS, FL)
Miami commit. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds on a tall frame with a strong lower half. Ashford has continued to make jumps on the mound, sitting 85-86 fastball that touched 87 with lots of run during his bullpen. Hides the ball on his delivery and creates movement on all his pitches. Mixed in a 77-78 mph changeup that showed some sink along with a 73-74 mph slider that showed depth, tailing action.

2025 OF Malakhi Boone (South Sumter HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds with above average strength for his age. Put on quite a display of raw power during his batting practice round as he drove the ball deep into the left-center field and right-center field gaps consistently. Everything comes off the bat loud and there’s big time power potential. Registered a top exit velocity of 90 mph. Also clocked in at 6.98 for his 60 yard dash time, showing off his impressive speed for his size. Playmaker on the football field as well. A name to remember, very strong follow.

2026 C/INF Tucker Jones (North Marion HS, FL)
Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 145 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Young hitter who really stood out during batting practice round. Fast bat, loose swing with lots of strength through the zone. Level to uphill path that finds the barrel. Drove the ball deep into the right-center field gap consistently.

2023 MIF Jacob Meyerer (Apopka HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 180 pounds on an athletic frame. Stood out up the middle defensively as he worked through the ball very well with clean transfers. Throws across the diamond were on-line and accurate, shows plenty of confidence. Displayed a quick bat during batting practice, producing several hard hit line drives.

2024 IF Jack Waddingham (Windermere HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 178 pounds on a loose, lean, athletic frame. Continued to stand out offensively as his left handed swing and path allow him to consistently barrel it up and drive the baseball. Works in rhythm with a level to uphill path, driving it gap-to-gap with some deep line drives to the pull side. The frame projects and as he continues to strengthen his frame expect to see jumps in power. Confident hitter. Defensively his throws across the diamond are accurate and to the bag. Impact left handed bat to follow closely.

2023 CIF Jackson Thomas (Winter Park HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds on a big, strong frame. Really stood out offensively during his batting practice round, staying behind the ball and really driving it deep into left and left-center field. This included a couple that he drove over the wall. Middle of the order bat that is suited to drive in runs. Uncommitted bat to follow this spring.

2024 RHP Dylan Jordan (Viera HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds on a tall, athletic frame that’s really projects. During his bullpen he displayed a loose, quick arm and mostly sat 87-90 mph with his fastball, touching 91 with run. Ball really jumped out of his hand and was heavy. Also mixed in a 74-75 mph changeup and 72-73 mph curveball with depth. There’s more in there and has a chance to make some big jumps on the mound. Very strong follow.
