2019 PGBA Florida Fall Nationals Standouts

This past weekend, numerous teams from around the state of Florida with players in the 2021-2023 classes were in attendance at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, FL. With plenty of talented players in attendance, below are ten who stood out and made an impact during the day on Saturday:

2022 Caden Connell 3B (East Lake Baseball Club)
Connell wasn’t hard to miss on Saturday after an impressive display at the plate. The third baseman drove a ball deep over the left field wall for a solo home run early in their game against the Florida Hardballers. Displays quick bat speed, the ability to drive the ball, and an above average arm defensively.

2023 C/ IF Jace Cleveland (Midland Swarm)
Had one of the more impressive days offensively. Jace displayed quick bat speed and gap-to-gap potential with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third during the game. Cleveland also displayed above average speed and an above average arm. Good follow.

2022 RHP/IF Tanner Ford (Under Armour Legends)
Showed a command of the zone throughout his performance on the mound while displaying a fastball that sat at 77-79 mph, touching 80 with a curveball with shape that sat 65-67 mph. Projectable frame.

2022 RHP/IF Colin Shultz (Under Armour Legends)
Had one of the most impressive performances of the day, showing dominant stuff early and often. Fastball sat 81-83 mph with run along with a 12/6 curveball that kept hitters off balance at 65-67 mph. Struck out multiple batters.

2021 RHP Ty Vandyke (East Lake Baseball Club)
The 6-foot-2 righty dominated hitters early on, striking out the side in the 1st inning. Fastball sat 77-80 mph with life and a slurve that was 69-71 mph. Struck out 6 during his time on the mound. Also is a two-way who shows above average bat speed with power offensively.

2021 OF Evan Hill (East Lake Baseball Club)
Stood out offensively where he drove a ball deep to left field during one of his at-bats, showing quick hands. Hill displayed quick bat speed and the ability to barrel it up. Average arm from the outfield.

2022 RHP/MIF Trent White (Diamond Kings)
Threw from a deceptive ¾ arm angle which was tough on batters, inducing weak contact. Fastball sat 76-78 mph with plenty of movement and a 64-65 mph change up with sink. Big frame.

2023 MIF Wyatt Jenkins (Midland Swarm)
Showed above average defensive actions up the middle, taking good angles to the ball. Also showed an above average arm across the diamond.

2022 OF John Smith (Florida Baseball Heaven)
Athletic frame. Shows above average bat speed with more power to come as he strengthens his frame. Drove the ball deep into the gaps.

2023 MIF Jacob Meyerer (Power Baseball)
Takes a good at-bat out of the leadoff spot, works the count well. Drove one to right field for a single during one of his at-bats. Quick hands.
