Brauner, Bellah lead the way in the Wolverine’s 2-1 Victory

In the second game of Opening Day at the Big Blue Bonanza tournament at Lake Brantley HS, the Windermere Wolverines took on the Lake Howell Silver Hawks which came down to a game winning hit by Holden Brauner late in the game for the Wolverines as they would win 2-1. Strong pitching was featured on both sides by Jack Bellah and Tyler Toro who racked up multiple strikeouts during their time on the mound.

2021 RHP Jack Bellah (Windermere HS,FL)
West Florida commit. 5.1 IP, 6 SO, 0 BB. Commanded the zone, throwing pitches to both sides of the plate & keeping the Lake Howell hitters at bay for 5+ innings. 

2021 OF Evander Jimenez (Windermere HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Went 2-3 2 2B, 1 RBI. In his second AB, he delivered a game tying RBI lacing a 2B down the line past the diving third basemen. In his third AB with 1 out, he laced a double that one hopped the left field wall. 

2022 RHP Tyler Toro (Lake Howell HS, FL)
Uncommitted. 5 IP, 11K, 1BB. In three different innings he managed to retire the side by way of the K. Hitters were never able to get comfortable in the box with him on the mound. 

2023 OF/LHP Holden Brauner (Windermere HS,FL) 
Uncommitted. Drove in what would be the game winning RBI in the bottom of the 6th, lacing the pitch to center field. 

2022 C Gustavo Mendez (Windermere HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Went 2-3 and was solid at the plate and behind the plate. He drove in a run in the bottom of the first to give the Wolverines an early lead. Big, strong frame. 

2023 C Conner Spelman (Lake Howell HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Tall, physical backstop with a strong lower half. Showed off an above average arm, throwing out a base runner at second.
