2021 RHP Jackson Baumeister (5 Star National)
Florida state commit. Currently stands at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds on a tall frame with long limbs. Loose, quick, easy working arm and displayed a fastball that sat 90-91 mph. Mixed in a changeup with fade at 83-85 mph with similar fastball arm speed and a 76-77 mph cutter that showed hard bite and generated swings and misses while throwing it for strikes. The frame projects for additional velocity as he continues to fill out. Very high follow nationally
2021 RHP Lucas Hartman (Florida Rebels)
Western Carolina commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds on a strong, compact, durable frame. Came out of the gate firing to start the morning, sitting 89-90 mph, touching 91 a couple times. Fastball had late life to it while also mixing in an 81-82 mph changeup and 69-70 mph curveball with depth. Pounds the strike zone and attacks the hitter. Mixed up his pitches well and had a solid outing against one of tougher lineups in the country.
2021 OF Jackson Mayo (5 Star National)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 182 pounds on a loose, athletic, projectable frame. Stood out offensively when he hammered a ball over the right field fence for a two-run home run during one of his at bats. The ball really jumps off the bat and shows present pull side juice. There’s still more power to come as he continues to fill out. Above average bat speed through the zone, can turn on the fastball. Shouldn’t be uncommitted for too long.
2022 RHP Nathan Norwood (Top Tier Roos)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds on an athletic frame with more to fill out. Fastball mostly sits in the 83-85 mph range, touching 86 while mixing in a 76-77 mph changeup and 63-64 mph curveball that shows depth. Simple windup that he repeats frequently. Releases out of a lower ¾ slot and creates some deception in his delivery. There’s still more in the tank from a velocity perspective. Strong uncommitted follow.
2021 IF Timo Aracena (Florida Hurricanes)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 180 pounds on an athletic frame with a strong lower half. Stood out offensively from the left side of the plate where he showed quick hands through the zone and looked to barrel it up to the pull side. Had a couple of loud line drive outs that were ripped right at the right fielder. Present bat speed from the right side of the plate. Fields the ball under control and makes the plays at the corner. Strong uncommitted follow that can make an impact from both sides of the plate.
2021 LHP Dillon Haines (5 Star National)
Stetson commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-10 160 pounds on a lean, athletic frame, Showed an above average command of the zone, mixing in a mid to high 80s fastball that runs away from a left-handed batter to generate swings and misses, yet can still pitch to contact and generate weak ground balls. Throws a nasty curveball at 70-72 mph that can buckle the knees. Struck out the side to start his outing and set the tone for 5 Star National’s dominant 2nd day performance. Easy, repeatable effortless delivery, potentially more left in the tank and could see an even higher up tick in velocity before the end of the summer.
2021 LHP Will Parkinson (Top Tier Roos)
Committed to Columbia shortly after the event. Currently stands at 6-foot-3 185 pounds, Parkinson was dominant from the left side of the bump, going a complete game and allowing one unearned run to score. Generates weak contact with his mid 80s fastball, but gets a lot of swing and misses on both his curveball and changeup. Isn’t afraid to pitch inside on hitters, shows a command and works both sides of the plate with ease. He has a lean, athletic frame, with more in the tank, potential to be in the low 90s and be a Friday night guy at the next level. Remember this name, because there’s big potential here.
2021 OF Camden Sprague (Florida Rebels)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 160 pounds on a lean, athletic frame with room to still fill out. Displayed quick hands from the left side of the plate when he roped a ball back up the middle during one of his at-bats for a line drive single. Also clocked in at 6.90 seconds and topped out at 84 mph from the outfield with an accurate throw to the bag during defensive drills from the showcase. Strong uncommitted follow.
2021 C Austin Affrunti (Top Tier Roos)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11 190 pounds. Solid defensively behind the plate, threw out several runners with on-line throws to the bag. Great footwork, gets rid of the ball in a hurry with ease and accuracy. At the plate he can drive the ball into the gaps, generating loud, hard contact. A middle of the lineup guy, he has above average baseball IQ and isn’t afraid to give up an out to move the runner over to help put his team into a position to score and win.
2021 MIF Dalton Hurst (5 Star National)
Florida International commit. Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 155 pounds on a lean, athletic frame. Stood out offensively from the left side of the plate where he showed loose, quick hands from the left side of the plate which translated to a line drive single ripped back up the middle during one of his at-bats. Gets out of the box with intent and looks to take the extra base.
2022 OF/RHP Evan Cuervo (Top Tier Roos)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds on a tall, strong frame . Stood out offensively from the left side of the plate when he smashed a ball deep into the left-center field gap for an RBI double during one of his at-bats. Creates loud, hard contact and can generate present power from his strong frame. Also was in the low 80s on the mound, topped out at 81 from the outfield during defensive drills at the showcase. Two-way with a big frame that shows upside.
2022 IF Quentin Meadows (Top Tier Roos)
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds on a frame with room to fill out. Really stood out during the offensive portion of the showcase where the ball jumped off the bat and he looked to drive it with intent during batting practice. This translated to the field where he ripped a line drive single into left field during one of his at-bats during the game. Meadows can really square it up and drive the ball. Strong uncommitted bat to follow.
