Moore Fans 13 as Lake Mary Defeats Lake Howell 3-1

Last night the Lake Mary Rams visited the Lake Howell Silver Hawks in a district battle that featured the away team coming away with the 3-1 win. Rams starter 2020 RHP Grayson Moore was hot out of the gate and didn’t let up the entire game as he would eventually strike out 13 batters during his time on the mound. Rams high profile 2020 OF Dylan Crews started the game off with a walk and eventually scored on a base hit by Grayson Moore who would also go 3-for-3 at the plate, rounding out his stellar night. Crews also doubled down the left field line later in the game. 

The Vanderbilt commit was dominant in his outing, fanning 9 of the 10 first hitters he faced. Moore made it look easy with command of all three of his pitches, generating multiple swings and misses. He finished the night with 5 innings pitched, 13 Ks, 1 BB, and 1 ER. He also knocked in a run and doubled with two singles offensively. 

2020 RHP Mason Morello came on in relief and was nearly perfect to record the 6 out save for the Rams. 

2020 C Zach Levenson scored the lone run for the Silver Hawks on a walk in the fourth, and had the only extra base hit of the night with a double.

2020 RHP Billy Poure managed to strike out 5 over 6 innings pitched for the Silver Hawks.
