Top 10 Uncommitted 2025s Heading into the 2023 Fall Season

As we head into the 2023 fall season, our scouting staff has had the opportunity to see hundreds of players not only over the past summer, but at recent fall team tryouts as well. Below are ten players we’ve identified in the 2025 class that will be strong uncommitted follows and will be at the top of the list to find a home at the next level.

LHP/1B/OF Jackson Lucas (Venice HS, FL)

Arguably had one of the best summer performances as a two-way prospect, both on the mound and offensively. Loose, easy working arm with a fluid and balanced delivery that allows him to pound the strike zone. Features a fastball up to 84 mph with more to come along with both an above average curveball and changeup. Able to throw his off-speed stuff at any point in the count. Offensively he works from a simple approach and finds the barrel often for line drives deep into right, right-center field. The pull side power continues to make strides as well. High baseball IQ, difference maker in the lineup.

RHP Merrick Beamish (St. Augustine HS, FL)

Sits 86-91 mph with his fastball, touching 92 with run. Generates multiple off-balance swings and misses with the curveball (73-75 mph) and slider (77-80 mph) Both come in at 2550+ RPM. Also mixes in a low 80s changeup with fade. Fast arm with more in the tank. Big potential.

OF Tyler Cripe (Parrish Community HS, FL)

Lean, athletic frame that will continue to fill out, see jumps in his overall game. The switch hitter can do damage from both sides of the plate with above average bat speed. From the left side he shows the ability to drive the ball into both gaps for extra base hits. From the right side he has present pull side juice. Heads up defender who can track the ball down, make the tough play. Above average runner as well.

OF/ RHP Luis Machado (Lake Nona HS, FL)

Loose, quick arm here as he runs his fastball up to 89 mph, mostly sitting 86-88. Also mixes in a 72-73 mph slider with late action and a 77-78 mph changeup. Offensively he displays some present juice from the right side, laces hard line drives back up the middle from the left side. Tops out at 90 mph on his throws from the outfield.

OF/IF Anthony Espinoza (Park Vista HS, FL)

Top of the lineup hitter who shows the ability to drive the ball all over the field. Loose, fast hands and shows some present power to the pull side. Finds the barrel for loud, hard contact. Aggressive runner on the base paths and gets good jumps on the pitcher.

C Jacob Estrada (Bonita Springs HS, FL)

Showed off present power during the CBU 2023 Fall Tryout Camp as the ball really jumped off the bat along with a top exit velocity of 96 mph. Drove multiple pitches over the left and left-center field wall. Utilizes his physical lower half as well. Accurate throws down to the bag as well.

OF/RHP Austin Wiegandt (Westminster Christian, FL)

Possesses multiple above average tools that translate to game action. Big arm from the outfield that tops out at 92 mph with carry. On the mound he works in the upper 80s with his fastball along with an above average slider that gets swings and misses. Offensively he works gap-to-gap with some present pull side power as well. Can make an impact in multiple ways.

RHP Caden Jensen (Viera HS, FL)

Standout arm that really has burst onto the scene. Runs his fastball up to 90 mph with life while sitting 86-89 with life. Features a 78-80 mph changeup and a 75-77 mph curveball. Fills up the zone.

IF Ray Yero (Miami Christian, FL)

Shows the ability to drive the ball all over the field. Quick hands, finds the barrel often, and works gap-to-gap. Stays quick and direct to the ball. Confident defender up the middle as well.

1B Logan Inman (Lake Nona HS, FL)

Big, physical frame. Suited to drive in plenty of runs in the heart of the batting order. Present power to all parts of the field. Creates loud, hard contact. Solid actions around the bag at 1B.
