2024 HS Mid-Season Uncommitted Standouts (Part 2)

2024 HS Mid-Season Uncommitted Standouts (Part 2)

With more than a month into the high school season, our scouting staff has had the ability to see hundreds of players and the impact they’ve made for their team. As always we are on the lookout not only for uncommitted players that will be strong follows the rest of the spring season, but should be at the top of lists for recruiters and coaches alike. Below is a list of players (Part 2) that have stood out this season.

*Note: The players listed are ones our scouting staff has been able to see so far this season. If you’d like to know more about our individual player and team coverage throughout the year, please feel free to reach out.

2024 OF Zach Lester (Lakeland Christian, FL)

Uncommitted. Has been a consistent producer offensively, driving the ball with intent for plenty of base hits. Physical frame, most notably in his lower half that allows him to generate power. Present feel for the barrel from the right side with a confident approach, takes a smart at-bat. Shows range, makes the plays in the outfield.

2025 RHP Roman Bovelsky (Newsome HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Has turned in multiple strong outings in a row, using his full arsenal and racking up strikeouts. Sits in the mid 80s with his fastball while mixing in an upper 70s changeup and a low 70s slider. Present feel for all his pitches. Tall 6-4/200 pound frame with more to come. Works downhill.

2025 OF Blake Fields (The First Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Present athleticism with a strong lower half. Stands out from an offensive perspective as the hands are fast through the zone and drives the ball with intent. Works from a simple approach and drives the ball gap-to-gap which translates to extra base hits. Aggressive runner on the base paths. Above average arm with carry on his throws as well.

2026 RHP/IF Ty Arafet (The First Academy, FL)

Uncommitted. Tall, projectable frame that works downhill to attack the hitter. The high ceiling arm works in the upper 80s (up to 89) with his fastball and mixes in an above average curveball with 12/6 break. Flashes a low 80s changeup as well. Still more to come from a velocity perspective.

2026 MIF/RHP Austin Knierim (Hernando HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Athletic frame with present strength throughout as a two-way prospect. From the left side of the plate he displays lightning fast hands through the zone and can drive the ball all over the field. This has translated to multiple run-scoring hits this season. Present pull side pop as well. Freely ranges to his right and left up the middle defensively with an above average arm across the diamond. Upper 80s on the mound as well.

2026 RHP/MIF Ethan DeJesus (Sumner HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Shows real upside on the mound and offensively. Runs his fastball up to 89 mph, mostly sitting 85-88 along with a mid 70s changeup and an above average slider at 77-79 mph with 2650+ RPM. Ball jumps out of his hand. Generates lots of swings and misses. Offensively he displays a confident approach from the left side and not only shows pull side pop, but the ability to drive the ball the other way as well.

2026 C Kaine Ellis (Hernando HS, FL)

Uncommitted. Athletic frame with a stronger lower half. Above average defender with a strong arm which has translated to multiple base runners being thrown out this season. Sticks pitches and works from an athletic position. Offensively he displays a very smooth left-handed swing with consistency through the zone. Present feel for the barrel and has been a key producer in the lineup.
